  1. I grew up with MAD Magazine in the 1960s. They provided a witty counterpoise to the culture, and a jumping off point for a natural skeptic. Fortunately, they have put their pre-Warner Brothers issues on CD/DVD archives. Those old issues are as brilliant as ever.
